#REVERB (Day 7): What is one thing you are taking with you into 2013?

ETERNITY SEEKS TO GIVE BIRTH TO ITSELF. (Art by Hallelujah Truth, Words by Karen Phillips)

#REVERB12:Day 7 Prompt: What's the one thing you want to take with you into 2013?
One thing I will most certainly TAKE WITH ME into 2013 is gathering with the SPIRITUAL ART PILGRIMS every three weeks to "EXPERIENCE" our ART through dramatics, movement, voice, art making, and play.

The  SPIRITUAL ART PILGRIMS is a group I founded with fellow artists Robey Tapp, Cecelia Kane, and Sally Wylde several years ago as a way to delve deeper into our SOULS, ARTMAKING, and FRIENDSHIP.

PAUSING IN ORDER TO BE: INTEGRATING THE INNER WITH THE OUTER

PAUSING. (art by Hallelujah Truth)

Hallelujah for PAUSING. Who among us hasn't felt the frenzy of TIME storming overhead, demanding we run hither and thither seeking cover and then tending to the destruction once the squall is over? WHO ARE WE at that TIME?
FULLNESS, FRUITION, END OF SUMMER (art by Hallelujah Truth)

I am PAUSING from the busy-ness of my SUMMER before I step one toe into the approaching FALL. Already the temperatures are cooling and the mornings have prolonged hours of darkness. WHO AM I, now after the "allness" and "doneness" of the season of extended daylight hours and heat has concluded? Have I ripened? Are parts of me readying for FALL's harvest?
PAUSING, INTEGRATING THE OUTER WITH THE INNER (art by Hallelujah Truth)

I AM PAUSING....

It is time to retreat from the OUTER "scapes" of Atlanta, London, and St. Johns--highlights of my summer--and visit my INNER "scapes." It is in the terrain of ME that I rediscover the miracle of BEING here. Pulling in the OUTER and integrating it with the INNER.
BEING ME (art by Hallelujah Truth)

BEING. No need to surge ahead striving for new accomplishments. Instead I will be PRESENT to YOU, YOU, and what is here in front of me, and WHAT IS ME. NOW.

I WILL BE THE JOURNEY! That is Coffee With Hallelujah! Thank you for BEING with ME.

Acknowledgment: I continue to be thankful to Mark Nepo and his Book of Awakening. In his passage on "When Feeling Stuck," he quotes Rabindranath Tagore:

The same stream of life
that runs through the world
runs through my veins.

#REVERB11: MISTAKE--TYRANNY OF MY SOUL

MISTAKE 2011: ONGOING TYRANNY OF MY SOUL.  (Art by Hallelujah Truth)

#REVERB11 (December 11) PROMPT: Mistakes. It's easy to focus on our mistakes--to reflect with 20/20 hindsight and berate ourselves for what went wrong. Bring your awareness to a mistake you've made over the past year. Unveil one positive lesson from that mistake. How can you actively use this lesson moving forward? (Tiffany Moore at Live Happy)

AWARENESS IN A WAY OF BEING. SURRENDERING TO BEING
As a Spiritual Art Pilgrim, I am on a SOUL JOURNEY. On this part of my SOJOURN ending in 2011, I have continued to cycle through a repeated behavior of mistake, realization, and positive resolution:

1. ONGOING TYRANNY OF MY SOUL.
I Judge myself, my art, and others harshly. The absolute power of my critical mind destroys the fruits of my SOUL. Suffering by all around ensues.

2. AWARENESS IN A WAY OF BEING.
After the cataclysmic destruction generated by absolute judgment, I return to the center of my HEART and SOUL. I allow myself to BE JOYFUL and I surrender to BEINGNESS. All around await.

3. JUBILATION IN BEINGNESS.
Time stops in this place centered in the SOUL. From this SOUL place all things are restored. Mirthful growth occurs. All around rejoice.

JUBILATION IN BEINGNESS. CELEBRATING THE UNKNOWN.

Acknowledgments: These images that I have drawn of Snowpeople resulted from last night's holiday outing to go see the Christmas lights in our local Atlanta neighborhoods. Thanks to Jacq Marie, Lesly, Matt, and my Chiboogamoo! Although there were engaging decorations of Santa, polar bears, penguins, reindeer, snow globes, the yard that captivated my imagination was the one with a large frightening tyrannical snowman towering over troops of about 30 small subjugated snow people in front of it. OH MY!
