BLOGTOBERFEST13 (Day 7): THE EGG of the American oystercatcher is the star in today's drama!

TA-DA! Introducing the American oystercatcher egg! (art by Hallelujah Truth)
Hallelujah for new beginnings! Hallelujah for looking at the genesis of ideas and creative works! Hallelujah for wildlife and its presence here on our glorious Earth!

For today's Blogtoberfest13 (Day 7), I am posting images of one BIG solo EGG of the American oystercatcher. This BIG art EGG that is so amazingly symbolic! It represents my intentions for for blogging in this month of October: illustrating the life-cycle of the American oystercatcher and creating two blogs and a business plan.
SYMBOLISM! The American oystercatcher is an endangered species, and no matter what conservation measures are being made by dedicated scientists and bird enthusiasts, it may be dying out. Therefore, this BIG art EGG symbolizes my hopes for its rebirth...a re-genesis of sorts. May the American oystercatcher successfully nest, reproduce, and see its hatchlings fledge successfully into independent birds.(art by Hallelujah Truth)
At the same time, I am co-creating the life-cycle of the American oystercatcher with Jen Hilburn, ornithologist on St. Catherines Island, Georgia, through story and image, I am also experiencing a rebirth myself as an artist and am fledging into the next stage of my life as an artist and creativity consultant/coach, one who needs a website and business plan.
CRACKING OPEN! When there is no longer enough room in your current life, it is time to break open. Making that move takes energy! (art by Hallelujah Truth)
In minutes, I need to go to my C4 Atlanta class, "Website Bootcamp," and I have failed miserably at doing my homework. I have an old domain name (RuthTruthArt) on GoDaddy.com from 2008 that I never made into a website. I just tried to migrate that domain name to another hosting site called ClickHost and failed miserably.

There was more homework, like choosing a template and installing Wordpress, but I just didn't get there. What is wrong with me? I took so much time trying to think about what I wanted to call my website and what "services" I would be offering, that I just didn't get to the technical stuff.

Now, I am dragging. This is DRAMA! Ta Da! I am inside the BIG EGG trying to crack out. I need to find my "egg tooth" (see this blog).

That's Coffee with Hallelujah! SOUL BLOG with me and give me support! Tell me I am not crazy for wanting to be the BIG EGG!  What room is getting too small for you and will you be cracking out--hatching into the next new room?

  1. Hooray for the Big art Egg! To consider what services you want to offer is important. Take your time. When the time is right, you'll find your own egg tooth and hatch your new career.

  2. You've got this Ruth. Remember how much energy it took for the baby to break out of that egg - be gentle with yourself and know that it will all happen in right order. You are amazing - remember to breath in peace and exhale love for yourself and technology :)

  3. I know how you feel when it comes to technology. I am still trying to learn my simple blog template and get things on there that actually work...I also have a 'wordpress' blog but can't recall my password or even my sign in name so have abandoned it for the one I am using now...I have a page on Allpoetry.com that I have negelected for a couple of years so I have about decided to just stick to what I know...sewing...and dabbling in art...

Using the egg as a comparison of what is going on with you is genius with style... I love all that I am learning from your blog on the American Oystercatcher...Now follow Christine's suggestion and all will be well...
